Teacher Agency in Multilingual Education Policy in an Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia

چکیده
The issue of the role teacher agency in professional development and school reform has increased significantly over last decade. This article explores multilingual education policy an Islamic Boarding School context how they translated language into their class. Research on within policies been widely conducted public schools many countries, but Indonesia, topic is relatively under-researched. Indonesia educational model born from local wisdom applies multilingualism for student competence, namely boarding schools. case exploratory study takes data 3 teachers various subjects such as (English, Religion, Biology) at same level senior high school. Thematic analysis applied to analyze phenomenon regarding policy. reveals that agents run classes based beliefs abilities. Data was collected by interviewing implementing policies. implication this research provide a reference practitioners adjusting implementation education.
